Presentations and topics of discussion at the forum will include assessing and reducing energy use, a review of the current state of the industry, and how to address organizational barriers to managing efficiency.

A panel including the US Department of Energy, European Commission, US Environmental Protection Agency, and others will discuss a data center efficiency rating system. The meeting will also involve the peer review of a Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory study to evaluate the use of high voltage direct current in data centers.

After the conference, some of the content will be posted on The Green Grid's website, along with several white papers and other documents already available.
