The Ugly side of wind turbines

This video has been circulating on the internet, hopefully it doesn't turn anybody off to wind power. This took place in Denmark, hopefully in a non-residential area...

Apparently the turbine is supposed to shut down in such strong winds but failed to do so this time. Two engineers were working on it just before it blew apart, but were able to get away in time. A 19 meter piece was hurled 20 meters away while smaller pieces shot out to distances of 500 meters.

Still the most common argument against wind turbines is their unsightliness. This might change some minds, but it should also be taken into consideration that this occurred during one of the strongest storms to hit Denmark in the past five years.
