Home Energy's Carbon Neutral Wood Burning Boiler

This may sound impossible at first, but Sweden based Home Energy has developed a way to burn wood in a carbon neutral fashion. The process takes place in their Wood Pellet Boiler.

Home Energy Wood Pellet Boiler

Fallen wood left on the forest floor naturally decays and, while it does so, releases energy as well as carbon dioxide. The Wood Pellet Boiler, while burning the wood manages to harness the energy while releasing the same amount of CO2 as the natural decaying process would, thereby making it carbon neutral. So Home Energy's product allows you to use the energy of burning wood without harming the atmosphere.

The boiler itself is offered in several sizes and is aesthetically pleasing. It is fully automatic, making it relatively easy to use and produces anywhere from 12 to 62 kilowatts. According to Home Energy the boiler can save you up to 30% on your heating costs compared with heating by oil or natural gas. No word on price, at least I can't tell from the Swedish site.
